The Gallagher Brothers Have Called It Quits @ TGLR - The Fresh Hip-Hop Blog
First DJ AM, and now Oasis. On the band’s official website, Noel Gallagher posted a note in the band’s newsfeed. He said, with a biting British accent, “It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with [my brother] Liam a day longer.” He then apologizes to the fans in Paris, Konstanz and Milan, the next three stops on the band’s European tour, which they will obviously not play.
It’s depressing to think that sibling rivalry can tear the great Britpop collective apart, but it seems that no unibrow can hold the brothers Gallagher together. All of us at TGLR hope that even though all the roads they have to walk are winding, and all the lights that lead them there are blinding, they can see through their differences and come back.
