Playaz Circle – Flight 360: The Takeoff (Review)

by SoSickWitItYo on October 12, 2009

Playaz Circle is taking over the industry by storm.  I had never heard of this group before, and I turned on my radio and the song, “Hold Up” begins playing out of my fourteen year old Saturn speakers.  I turned the volume up and let that beat build, and from that song on, I was determined to find out more about this unknown group.  As I researched and looked into more information on the album, I had realized that this solid musical act was signed to Ludacris’ label, “Disturbing tha Peace”.  On top of that, they have top notch features on the LP, including: OJ Da Juiceman, Ludacris, Bobby Valentino, Lil’ Wayne, Jagged Edge, Raekwon, Young Dro, and Cee-Lo (half of Gnarls Barkley).  Some of the standout tracks are their hit single, “Stupid” and “DJ Know Me” and you can also throw in the track “Ghetto” as one to definitely take a look at.  As an overall album, I give it a A-, and seeing that it is their first LP, it definitely puts them on the map in my opinion.  They are a group that I will personally have to keep an eye on and follow closely.  What sets them apart from other rap groups out there is that they seem to just feed off each other.  If you watch some live footage, you will see it too, they just vibe off each other and it is really something special to watch.

The album debuted on the Billboard 200 at number seventy four, selling eight thousand copies.  If you enjoy Flight 360: The Takeoff, then I advise you to peep their debut album, Supply & Demand.  Stuff goes hard, and also be on the lookout for their upcoming 2010 album which will be titled, Supply & Demand 2.  The LP overall went hard, and is something that all hip-hop heads out there should take a look at.  They got a lot of everything on there, and it is just good music that both myself and my co-writers can vibe to.
