RiRi is back and ready to bring it, with her latest single, “Russian Roulette“, off her upcoming album, Rated R, hitting the scene on November 23rd. The song is much slower and deeper than most of her other songs, but in a way it’s what we’ve always been looking for in Rihanna. It’s possible that Rihanna is moving into a phase, but through a close listening of the song, it seems as if she’s referencing Chris Brown, her previous boyfriend who was violent and abusive.
And you can see my heart beating
You can see it through my chest
And I’m terrified but I’m not leaving
Know that I must must pass this test
So just pull the trigger
It seems like it would be stupid to write a song solely about Russian Roulette, so there must be something that we’re missing here. Look forward to the drop, NOVEMBER 23rd, and check back soon for a track listing and more album artwork!
