Michael Jackson – The Remix Suite (Review)

by SoSickWitItYo on October 28, 2009

I don’t think I have seen anything like this in my life… A greatest hits CD of remixes for one musician.  When I first heard that MJ had passed away, I thought it was a lie.  I was working at a summer camp in Canada, and to be honest, it sounded like one of those stupid rumors that get started to get everyone talking about something.  Turned out that the day after he passed away, it was confirmed by the staff that MJ had indeed passed away.  I was devastated, mainly because I had been doing music appreciation with my campers and some of them had been rocking to MJ tunes on a regular basis through the first month of the summer.  I was running through my iTunes library when making the list, and I had found a track named, “I Want You Back (Z-Trip Remix)” & “ABC (Salaam Remy Krunk-A-Delic Party Mix)”. I had added these to the playlist to get my kids grooving to some off Jackson stuff.  Then I hit them with “Billie Jean,” “Thriller,” and a ton of other stuff.  The remixes I had found were off a compilation disc that someone sent me entitled, Motown Remixed.

I was searching on one of my favorite sites out there, iM1 Music, and I spotted a compilation disc of some Michael Jackson tracks that were remixed.  The Remix Suite is probably one of my favorite remix albums of all time.  I have spun the album completely on my computer about three or four times over the past couple of days, and I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every track.  I have checked out the separate Remix Suites that were released, but none of them really grew on me.  On each one, I had my favorites, so them being tied into one tier release just made my day!  Anyway, peep the track listing below, and be sure to download the full album and enjoy these sick nasty remixes!!!

Skywriter (Stargate Remix)

I am actually listening to man in the mirror right now, such a soul touching song. Only he could pull something like that off, and hats off to the king of pop. He will always be remembered.

I still have and listen to his “dangerous” album. I absolutely love it, one of my all time favorites actually..Clearly no one can ever duplicate what he did, he was that unique. May he rest in peace.

Michael Jackson will never be forgotten by history. He will be rememberd for his amazing music and also for his antics off the stage. Whatever your thoughts are on him personally you can not deny his music had a huge influence over the years. This ablum looks worthy to add to my collection.
