Wiz Khalifa - Burn After Rolling

Wiz Khalifa - Burn After Rolling

I really liked Flight School, but after listening to Burn After Rolling, I can officially say that I am hooked on Khalifa Man.  I don’t know what it is about Wiz, the lyrics, the sick nasty beats, or the creativeness of his album covers/names.  I first heard about the Wiz man when my friend turned me onto his song, “Ink My Whole Body” off his Star Power tape (Just a side note, that album artwork was freaking crazy, if you haven’t seen it before, peep it and check it out for yourself!).  I normally don’t rave over mixtapes, primarily because for the most part, they don’t have a ton of tracks that are all around amazing.  For the most part, on many tapes, there are a few standout tracks, and the rest is nothing too special.  However, on this tape, I can safely say that I thoroughly enjoyed the majority of the tracks on the tape.  The intro track is just plain crazy, and “B.A.R.” is something I have been blaring through my speakers for the past couple of days.

Besides “B.A.R.”, I have been rocking out to Wiz’s remake of the Empire of the Sun’s hit song, “Walking on a Dream”.  ”The Thrill” is just mad crazy song that anyone can vibe to whenever they want.  Not to mention, the original song is also sick nasty (so be sure to check that out, the album, Walking on a Dream is definitely worth looking into).  Another sick nasty song on the tape is, “Young Khalifa”.  Something just to rock with when I am in my zone, if ya know what I mean.  A few other standout tracks on the tape are: “If I Were A Lame”, “On Tha Pill”, “Ode To Naked Popstars” & “Gettin’ Up”.  It is hard for me to say that those songs are the best of the best, mainly because the whole tape was just mad crazy!  If you want the full track listing with the features on it, check the back cover of the tape below!  Download the mixtape underneath the back cover below, and feel free to spread the love, share the tape, and leave a comment!

Another thing that I really dig about this mixtape is the cover.  Just take a look at the cover and the actual cover of the movie, Burn After Reading.  Stuff is real similar, crazy ain’t it!?  Also, the concept for the mixtape is just plain crazy, his stuff has always been that way, just take a look at his past mixtape covers and concepts.  This has been his best mixtape to date, and on top of this, he has an album hitting the industry in 2010 entitled, First Flight.  Be sure to check that out, and check out Burn After Rolling below!!!  TGLR gives this tape a solid A-, for overall concept, overall lyrical dopeness, and for the sick nasty beats that are one the tape!
