He’s back, and better then ever. It is time to take a peak at an underground Detroit musician who has done it big on his most recent mixtape, Away From Home. I normally don’t go banana’s over underground mixtapes, but I definitely did on this one! When the first two singles were dropped off in my inbox, I decided to post them up because they were just straight up crazy! Anyway, the mixtape is straight fire, I mean the kid has really improved and I think this is his best work yet! I am telling you, this kid will be bringing the heat consistently, and this is just the beginning! Sick intro, definitely one of the hottest intro’s I’ve heard in a long time! Definitely sets the mood for the tape, I love it!
I’m Talkin About (Prod. ECA Beats)
I am a HUGE fan of ECA Beats, the man knows what’s up and he knows how to make really solid beats! Jake kills this one, and it is definitely one of the hottest tracks on the mixtape (in my opinion).
This Heart Is Breakin
Ah, he does it again! This song is straight crazy, and the beat goes hard! Definitely a banger right here, and is worth checking out.
Lost In The Way
Jake slows it down on this one, it’s still a sick song, but sort of slow for my liking, definitely some different sounding stuff, but still goes along with the theme of the tape. Definitely a song to check out.
Something To Get Used To
Keeping on the slow note, here goes another banger! Definitely a song I will rock out to every now and then. Not one of my favorites, but still a solid song nonetheless. The beat is also pretty sick, so be sure to give this one a listen.
Its Just A Little Thing
Interesting sound to this one, I really feel like I am in outer space on this one! Sampling some sick RATATAT, it is something that definitely intrigued me, and you should definitely look at it. Stuff is dope!
