Bio:
To be a nerd is to be obsessively passionate about something to the point of insanity. Jordan Looney was brought up to not only pursue his nerdy passions but to live them, and this sculpts his unique style of music. He grew up in St. Paul, MN. in a mixed-race family; his diverse up-bringing under artistically talented parents led him to explore and excel in both music and school. His older brothers got him into rapping during elementary school, and he has been writing, recording, and performing ever since. He grew up battling and freestyling, practicing mixing and matching different styles from his favorite rappers to expand his lyrical ability. Today, Jordan is a Senior at Northwestern University in Chicago and he has perfected his writing and delivery; his diction is spot-on and his lines are intelligent yet infectious. His style resonates with his listeners like underground hip-hop, but his flow is musical. Whether on a mainstream beat or indie tracks like Passion Pit’s Sleepyhead, Jordan manages to blow listeners away with his unique combination of style and substance. In the past year he released his two debut mixtapes, Nerd-Hop Vol.1 and Nerd-Hop Vol.2, and he is slated to release Volume 3 on May 10th.
