The title of this mixtape describes exactly what I think about up and coming MC Mac Miller. Yes, the kid is talented and definitely seems to have a future in Hip-Hop. It would appear as though the young musician is following in the footsteps of Pittsburgh native Wiz Khalifa in the sense that the majority of these songs are “smoking” songs. Overall, I actually enjoyed listening to the mixtape and to be honest, I think that this will push him from being “that kid in high school” to actually inking a deal real soon. He has Rostrum Records behind him and a very strong fan base behind him and all I see in this “kids” future is success. K.I.D.S. has been blowing up right now on the internet, and I can tell that this is just the start of what will be a very long and successful career. The real question is if the industry will change Mr. Miller and deter him from putting out more quality mixtapes for free… I guess only time will tell! Anyway, if you have been living under a rock for a while, then you should probably crawl out from under your cozy rock and check out Mac Miller’s new tape entitled K.I.D.S. (p.s. We’ll also include his mixtape before this because let’s be honest, we aren’t bandwagon fans and we have known about Mac for a while now and The High Life is a solid tape to rock out to!).
