St. Vincent’s Strange Mercy was, by far, one of the best albums of 2011. Terrific tracks, terrific production – Annie Clark’s essence was embodied on the album. In many ways, it completely blew away her previous Actor and Marry Me albums. If you read my top 25 of 2011 list (found here) posted last month, you’ll know that I absolutely love St. Vincent, and for good reason. She’s incredibly talented, absolutely driven, and just really awesome. When I saw her live a few months ago, she leaned back, fell backwards onto the audience, and played a solo while crowd surfing. She’s just really cool.
But yeah, she just released the video for Cheerleader, one of my favorite songs off the album. Enjoy!
